Why don’t vegetarians protest against carnivorous animals?

March 31, 2007

I enjoy playing with and eating animals, so I consider myself an open-minded and neutral party when discussing the pros and cons of being a vegetarian. I believe animal rights activists are missing out on a potential target population by ignoring the activities of carnivorous animals. Lions, alligators, and sharks are eating other animals as we speak and PETA has done absolutely nothing to mitigate this practice. The argument for saving the lives of innocent animals is indeed a humane one, but I believe that some of the other species should step up and start setting a good example for humans to follow.
